Born and raised in Belo Horizonte, André Gonzaga Dalata has been active in graffiti since 1989 and professionally in the art world since 1989. Known in Brazil and abroad, he has made appearances in Amsterdam, Berlin, Senegal, California, and other parts of the globe.
His work is a cocktail of abstraction and surrealism amidst a blend of various techniques. Moving through drawing, painting, sculpture, and music, where he acts as a producer, composer, and singer.
The artist creates a playful universe oriented towards positivity. Dalata portrays life in a distant place, where mutant beings come to life naturally amidst psychedelic scenes. In a play of thoughtful forms in the so-called captivating bizarre style.
